Overview

What we do

Our Lightning Transient Studies using PSCAD evaluate the impact of direct and indirect lightning strikes on electrical power systems through detailed electromagnetic transient simulations. The study analyzes lightning-induced overvoltages, traveling wave propagation, insulation stress, surge arrester performance, and equipment response to ensure system reliability and protection. It helps optimize insulation coordination, validate protection schemes, minimize the risk of equipment damage, and enhance the overall resilience of transmission, distribution, industrial, and renewable energy systems against lightning-related disturbances.
